Gallery Salamanca, (formerly The Tasmania Shop and Gallery), is a newly re-established gallery and retail environment showcasing the highest quality Australian, specifically Tasmanian, contemporary art, craft and design.

Located within the Salamanca Arts Centre in Salamanca Place – Tasmania's premiere art, shopping and dining precinct – Gallery Salamanca caters to customers wanting a unique, more one-of-a-kind, shopping experience.

Gallery Salamanca provides an engaging platform for makers to communicate and express their ideas to the public. Representing over ninety artists and makers, we carry works in ceramics, glass, jewellery, sculpture and textiles, along with visual arts. We’re also very proud to represent Dinosaur Designs – a Australian ‘handmade’ success story and an example of what can be achieved when you set your sights high.

Our goal is to keep stride with the spirit of Salamanca Arts Centre (SAC) by showcasing the talents of Tasmania’s established and emerging artisans, coupled with introducing locals and visitors alike to the talent that exists throughout Australia.
