Peter Reynolds
Originally from the North East Coast of Australia, Peter Reynolds has developed his glass blowing career in Margaret River since 1991.
Peter began his training with glass blower Kent Le Grande. A year later he continued his learning with mentor and Master Glass artist Alan Fox, at Fox Glass Studio. After several years under Alan’s tuition, Peter had the opportunity to travel and work in glass on the East Coast of Australia and Indonesia. Back in Western Australia, Peter spent some intermittent time at Redgate Glass Studio whilst pursuing his personal developments in glass blowing and also interests in filmmaking.
Nature in its rawest of forms is reflected in Peter’s work. Peter uses time proven techniques to create bold and ancient looking pieces whilst also capturing a sense of place. The folds of geological timeframes represented in the gorge walls of Karijini; the great oceans; the world around us – all are sources of inspiration.
Peter would ultimately like to combine his passions for glass and filmmaking by creating documentaries on glass and glass blowing aroundthe world.
